WORKSHOPS:

RESYST Seattle offers our workshops to grassroots, social justice, and social service organizations. If you are interested in creating or leading RESYST workhops, check out Q-FIRE. We currently have the following workshops available:


Ableism 101
An introduction to (dis)ability issues, ableism and (dis)abled liberation.


Oppression 101
An integrated approach to looking at issues of oppression, including racism, sexism, homophobia, ableism, transphobia, ageism, classism and other issues of oppression.


Anti-Racism for White Folks
Specifically for white/European people, this workshop explores issues of racism, white privilege, and accountability.


Are You A Sexist Queer Boy?
A workshop for Queer/Bi/Gay identified men exploring connections between sexism and homophobia and exploring issues of male privledge both within and outside of Queer men's communities.


Personal Story and the Power of Poetry
A writing workshop for poets at all levels looking at the way poetry can be used to tell our stories and transform the world.


Queer Liberation: A History of Struggle
A look at the Queer/GLBT movement, focusing on the roots of the Queer movement within poor/working-class trans youth of color communities, and its connections with other liberation movements in the United States.
